Is Vodafone interested in AT&T Wireless?

The LA Times reports that Vodafone is discussing the possibility of selling its stake in Verizon Wireless, which would make it easier to buy competitor AT&T Wireless. Meanwhile the Wall Street Journal is suggesting that it's all a bluff by Vodafone to drive up the price of AT&T, which could cause problems for the new owner when competing with Verizon Wireless.
