O2 to charge customers for Live8 texts

Mobile network O2 will claim 10p for every text message its customers send as part of the Live8 ticket draw. Every text sent will offer the chance of winning tickets to a charity concert in London - and will also include a donation of £1.50. Rivals Vodafone and Orange have waived their charges for customers who enter the draw, but O2 is still charging.

BT 'Bluephone' launched as 'BT Fusion'

BT has launched its combined mobile phone and cordless home phone product. The BT Fusion device (originally called 'BT Bluephone') works as a cordless phone at home but becomes a mobile when you leave the house. The phone is currently being tested by 400 customers.
