Pigeons to send text messages about smog

A project in California is planning to equip pigeons with satellite navigation and mobile phone technology to monitor smog. Data from the 20 pigeons will be automatically texted to a web site. Beatriz da Costa's 'Pigeonblog' is due to launch (no pun intended) this summer...
