Europe could cut 'roaming' fees

The European Commission is proposing that the cost of using a mobile phone abroad should be cut to the same level as using it at home. I can't see many consumers complaining about this... although why stop at mobile phone charges?  Why not standardise the price of a bottle of wine?  Petrol, too?
