'Virus' attacks on mobile phones

A professor at the University of California's UC Davis College of Engineering has discovered that hackers could disable internet-connected mobile phones by hiding malicious data in legitimate downloads, causing the devices to remain connected and run their batteries down quickly. Meanwhile, antivirus company F-Secure has reported a smartphone virus that can spread to PCs.
