Mobile companies suffer EU VAT setback

UK mobile phone networks hoping to claim back VAT on the cost of multi-billion pound 3G licences have been told there was no VAT involved. The announcement by an EU legal advisor isn't legally binding at this stage but is likely to be followed by the European Court of Justice.
